THE LAND OF UN

Typically, skatepark photography is all about tricks—immortalizing that freeze-frame moment when board, rider, and background come together to create a distinctive and powerful image.

To me, however, skateparks are more about scenes than protagonists. Once everything falls into place—the right light hitting that precise angle, casting unique shadows and creating the perfect backdrop—any rider becomes a hero, and skateboarding touches the fringes of art.

Over and again, as I stand before these seminal moments, the same words keep coming back to me:

Unbelievable … Unpredictable… Unreal.

Unmatched…Untamed…Unexpected.

So, in the end, skateparks have become my Land of Un—where concrete bends light to create a parallel reality, where shadows are free agents and any rider can be a superstar, and where beauty keeps inspiring my soul to sing and dance.
